April Favorites

  1. St. Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mousse This is one of the best self tanners I have ever used. It dries in 60 seconds, blends evenly (when used with a self tanning mitt), gives your skin a natural brown tan (not orange or fake looking), extremely easy to use, doesn’t have that horrific typical self tanning smell and is incredibly inexpensive at only $6 a bottle. I’ve been using it twice a week on my face and body and I have finally achieved that perfect tan. A more thorough review will be coming soon.
  2. MAC Beauty Powder in Shell Pearl– This was re-released with the MAC Give Me Liberty of London Collection and I am so glad I purchased it because a day hasn’t gone by this month where this has not been on my face. I have been using this daily as a highlighter with my ELF Studio Blush Brush on my upper cheekbones and it gives my face a summery glow.
  3. MAC Mineralize Blush in Sun & Moon– I purchased this when the MAC Too Fabulous Collection came out and I am really loving it. It is a shimmery mauve blush swirled with a bronzey highlighter and it looks beautiful on the cheeks. I apply it with my MAC 188 Brush on the apples of my cheeks then blend upwards toward my temples. It’s a great shade for both light and dark complexions so it works when I’m tan or pale. It even works as a highlighter.
  4. MAC Pigment in Pink Bronze– I reviewed this a couple of days ago and again, I am still loving this pigment. It is the perfect summer shade and it looks beautiful with everything. Click here for the full review.
  5. Essie Nail Polish in Turquoise & Caicos– Love, love, LOVE this nail polish. I can’t even tell you how many compliments I get when wearing it. People are always asking me about this color. I can guarantee this polish will be used far more than any other nail polish I have ever used. It was released with the Essie Resort 2010 Collection and is the standout color of the group.
  6. CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion– My favorite out of all my CoverGirl LashBlasts. I have been using it everyday since I got it and it has become my HG mascara. It gives fantastic volume and truly lengthens your eyelashes giving them the look of false eyelashes, but without clumping. Check out my review here if you haven’t yet read it.
  7. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero– I received this in a swap in the beginning of April and I’ve been using it almost daily. This eyeliner is awesome. Stays put, waterproof, doesn’t smudge (unless tyring to on purpose) and has phenomenal lasting power. I have been using it on my upper and lower lash line, but I’m going through it so quickly, I started only using it on my lower waterline so that I won’t use it up so quickly, especially because of its high price point at $17 each. If you haven’t tried the 24/7 pencil liners yet, I highly recommend investing in one. They really are the best eyeliners on the market, in my opinion.
