As far as beauty products go, I’m always on the hunt. I like trying new products, no matter how good the ones I already have are. But sometimes there are a few stand-out products that I feel like shouting from the roof tops because they’re so good. This beauty edit features my favorite standout products of the month. I plan on doing more of these beauty edits each month to cover what products I just can’t get enough of. Here are my top five beauty products that I continue to reach for.
This gel bases exfoliant works wonders for sloughing off dead surface cells. The scrub has pumice and bamboo stems to exfoliate and contains botanical oils to purify and calm the skin. I use the scrub before I shave to rid of any dead skin and open my pores to allow for a closer shave. I use this in conjunction with a Salux nylon bath towel for extra exfoliation.
I finally jumped on the band wagon with liquid matte lipsticks but I’ve struggled with finding a good every day color that doesn’t make me look over the top. Bow n Arrow is one of those perfect every day colors that adds just the right amount of edge to my makeup look without looking too “dark”. I love a good mauve-hued lipstick but sometimes I need something a little more nude for every day. This color is perfect for that. I call it a nude 90s lip. Also, the pigmentation on this liquid lipstick is incredible. A little goes a long way. And while it doesn’t make it through meals, it does stay on for a good amount of time.
Concealers are a weakness for me. I can’t seem to be satisfied with just one. But I keep reaching for this light-weight full coverage option and haven’t found the need to search for another option. It covers perfectly without caking which is perfect for summer. I love that I can easily blend this with my fingers, a foundation brush or a Beauty Blender making it easy to travel with.
Ok, so a deodorant isn’t exactly on everyone’s list as a beauty fave. But this is an essential! So why wouldn’t you want to use an amazing deodorant? I found Agent Nateur via Instagram and was immediately sold on the packaging and ingredient list alone. Deodorants that you buy from drugstores are full of harmful chemicals that have actually been linked to alzheimer’s disease, or so they say. But still scary right? So I’ve been on the hunt for a deodorant that didn’t contain ingredients like aluminum. This stuff smells so good and keeps the stink at bay. An all time favorite for me.
*Queue music from the heavens* This powder is incredible. We’re talking J.Lo glow with one swipe of a brush. I’m a sucker for highlight powders and my collection is extensive, but nothing compares to the glow of Champagne Pop. I actually prefer it over my trusted Mary Lou Manizer! Originally limited edition, it did so well and became so popular that Becca made it a permanent product. So now I don’t have to stress over the idea of never being able to find it again. Because trust me, it was a real fear.
