“She wears strength and darkness equally well, the girl has always been half goddess, half hell.” – Unknown
In honor of All Hallows Eve today, I thought I’d share a dark and moody look. This midnight blue-hued bell sleeve ribbed knit dress is my favorite piece in my closet. It’s unbelievably beautiful and incredibly well-made. Dubbed the “blogger dress,” I can see why it received this unofficial name. It’s simply stunning.
This midnight look sums up my mood for most of October. It’s been a rough and dark month, personally. The roller coasters in life seemed to get the best of me. But it’s a new month and I’m turning those dark corners into brighter moments and enjoying life as things come, instead of waiting for things to change. Things don’t magically happen and only you are responsible for yourself. Decide what you want, go after it and be the person you know you are. Don’t let anything alter that, but be good to those who support you. They’ll only lift you higher.
Don’t listen to the demons that fill you with doubt. Listen to your heart, your soul, and be true to yourself. I let my monsters come out this month and in turn only hurt the ones I love, not to mention myself.
Be focused, but also patient. Be strong, but also vulnerable. Be confident, but also compassionate. Don’t lose sight of what’s important and most importantly, don’t lose sight of those you love.
May the darkness always help you see the stars. Happy Halloween everyone.
