CLOUD GATE

Also known as “The Bean”, Cloud Gate was at the top of my list for places to visit while in Chicago. Regardless of how much time Natalie, of The Fashion Hour, and I had while in Chicago, we were making it a priority to see the sculpture before we left. It definitely did not disappoint.

GOLD COAST SHORELINE

I honestly did not expect Chicago to have such a beautiful shore. It was incredibly peaceful and felt like the ocean and not a lake. Next time I visit, I plan on making time to rent a bike and ride along the shore.

BOHEMIAN HOUSE | RALPH LAUREN RESTAURANT

After the Simply Stylist conference ended, we stopped at Bohemian House for a drink before our anticipated dinner at RPM Italian and had some rosé and the most delicious appetizer – Hungarian Langos. I’m drooling just thinking about it. We both agreed it was the best thing we ate all weekend.

Sunday morning we couldn’t decide where to have brunch, so we decided to just walk around the city and figured we’d find something along the way. We decided to reroute during our walk and unexpectedly ran into the Ralph Lauren Restaurant and both agreed we had to eat there. The food was incredible. Everything from the main dishes we ordered (trust me and get the quiche lorraine) to the coffee and pastries – just divine.

WENDELLA CHICAGO RIVER EXPERIENCE TOUR

We were recommended to take this tour by numerous people, and who doesn’t love an excuse to get on a boat. So we hustled to get to the other end of the city to make it in time for the 45 minute river tour. So interesting to learn about the architecture and history behind the beautiful buildings in the windy city.

LOU MALNATI’S

For delicious deep-dish pizza, Lou Malnati’s is the way to go. Delicious beer (try the Green Line) and a great laid-back vibe with gorgeous decor. If you read my post here, you already know my love for tufted leather couches. Also, I wanted to move in to this bathroom – that black and white tile and marble had me at hello.

Other honorable mentions to visit:

POPS FOR CHAMPAGNE

RPM ITALIAN

PUMP ROOM – PUBLIC HOTEL

PORTILLO’S

The list was much longer, but with such limited time we could only do so much. I honestly can’t wait to visit again. I truly fell in love with this city. I’m already bookmarking places to eat and visit in Yelp for my next trip. Too many good places to try, and so always so little time.

So good! I didn’t know how good it was going to be, thinking maybe it was all hype based on the name. But it was honestly one of the best brunches I’ve ever had!
