December 3, 2014

Blazer: H&M-; old (love this one) | Striped Oxford: Old Navy (similar here) | Jeans: Frame | Booties: Steve Madden (love these too– and under $100!) | Clutch: Forever 21- old (similar here and obsessed with this!) | 360 Pearl Earrings: BaubleBar | Gold Spike Bracelet: Stella & Dot | Gold Ball Cuff: Movida Boutique (similar here) | Watch: Michael Kors | Chanel Brooch: The Real Real | Lips: Maybelline Colorstay Lipstick in Touch of Spice

I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving filled with lots of love and family time… and good food! I was in California all weekend visiting with family and I couldn’t believe how warm it was! Not going to lie, really starting to miss that Southern California sunshine. I came back to it being VERY cold here in Dallas. I wasn’t prepared after a weekend of 85 degree weather.
For that in between weather, or for those of you who live in areas where it really isn’t all that cold yet, this is the perfect outfit- especially for casual Fridays at work! Solid colored blazers are a definite wardrobe essential because they can transition your spring/summer wardrobe effortlessly into fall. The blazer instantly creates a classic look and you can never go wrong with throwing an oxford button-up underneath to keep the look very business chic.
I like pairing classic pieces with funkier or trendier items to make the look more interesting and not-so basic. These Steve Madden booties are perfect for this because they still have a classic shape, but the chunky heel makes it a little more fun. With these mixed pieces you are able to wear the look day or night making it the perfect outfit to transition you from work to play.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
