Although the Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream is still my HG moisturizer, I have taken a liking to Clinique’s Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Moisturizer. It is a much lighter moisturizer which I need for those really hot Southern California days where a heavy face lotion makes my face extremely oily and shiny. Since my skin type is dry I always need some sort of moisturizer, so the Clinique Moisture Surge will come in handy for the summer.
The moisturizer goes on smooth and absorbs quickly into the skin locking in moisture for the entire day. It also has a light cooling effect when rubbed into the skin which is incredibly refreshing. But the best part about this face lotion is the fact that it leaves a sort of “sealed” surface to your face making it a great face primer, while also allowing your skin to breath. Foundation glides on smoothly with Moisture Surge and it even minimizes the appearance of lines and pores.
A little goes a long way with this product and a small amount will cover the entire face. Also, because it is so lightweight it is the ideal daily moisturizer for every skin type. It is light enough for those with oilier complexions but provides enough hydration for those with normal to drier skin types.
Although it is a little pricey at $34 for a 1.7 ounce jar, it is worth it because it lasts quite a long time, shouldn’t break you out (for those that are acne prone), hydrates your face, doesn’t leave the face looking oily and it doubles as a primer! Clinique’s Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Moisturizer is quite an awesome product if you ask me.
