Well this is embarrassing. Didn’t I just say in yesterday’s post that I don’t own or wear a lot of chambray? #awkward

Ok, so maybe I do wear more chambray than I thought. It’s a fabric that works with every skin tone and body type and comes in a number of styles (including this bell sleeve style from yesterday’s post). I was lucky to be a part of this month’s Diversity Chic featuring, you guessed it… chambray!

For those of you who aren’t familiar, Diversity Chic is a collaboration of Dallas bloggers showcasing current fashion trends on a variety of skin tones, hair colors, body types and heights. Each month a new trend tailored to each personality and style is featured with four of my favorite Dallas ladies.

I opted for a subtle chambray shirt in a much lighter color and paired it with one of my favorite geo printed skirts (also seen here and here) for chic, picnic attire. This turned out to be the cutest picnic set up in the prettiest park. Who doesn’t love a good summer picnic? The perfect time to chat with friends and munch on delicious snacks while getting some fresh air.

I love that this was all focused on the chambray trend, but we all styled it completely differently. The best thing about style is seeing everyone embrace their body types and dress accordingly. Real styles, for real women. Any woman can pull off any trend and make it their own and this post is dedicated to unique styles and women everywhere.

Make sure to check out the other Diversity Chic posts with Stephanie, Sevi, Valery and Denise.
