Happy Holidays

December 26, 2014
I hope everyone had a safe, warm and joyful holiday this year filled with family and friends. This year was a little different for Steven and I being away from our loved ones for the first time. This was our first holiday season in Texas and unfortunately we weren’t able to fly back to California to be with our closest friends and family. It was hard on both of us but we still had a fun time together.
I made matzo ball soup and latkes for the last night of Hanukkah/Christmas Eve and then spent Christmas day opening gifts and lounging around the apartment with Charlie boy. Luckily Steven’s sister and brother-in-law live in Dallas as well so we were able to spend Christmas with them later on in the day. We seriously ate so much food I still feel full haha! Shout out to Steven’s sister for making the best creamed corn, turkey and stuffing… EVER.
We’ve had such a crazy and tremendous year and I can’t believe it’s almost over. Next week we’ll be welcoming 2015 and I honestly think this will be the best year yet. We’ve accomplished so much and had so much opportunity since moving to Dallas that I honestly can’t wait to see what will come this next year.
Thank you so much to all who have supported the Pretty Petals blog this year. It truly means the world to me and this blog would not succeed without all of you. So thank you for taking the time to read, comment and support Pretty Petals!
