{Haul}: MAC In the Groove and Alice + Olivia

July 12, 2010
I’m finally getting around to posting this. My Internet has been down (horrible!) so I haven’t been able to put up any posts. But here it is: my very small In the Groove and Alice + Olivia haul.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Stereo Rose
This truly is an unbelievable product and I now understand all the hype over it. Although I would have never paid $100 for it; that’s just ridiculous. Stereo Rose is a beautiful coral-rose color with slight shimmer and isn’t at all glittery. If you get the chance to purchase it, that is if it isn’t sold out everywhere, then I highly suggest you do so. It’s a bit pricey at $28, but so worth it since it’s such a great product that I believe works on every skin tone.
MAC Lipstick in Jazzed
Jazzed Lipstick is one of those lipstick colors that you can wear solely on its own and gives you some color without looking overly made up. It is a Cremesheen lipstick so it goes on smooth and remains soft and creamy on the lips. I’ve also noticed it has pretty good lasting power even without a lip liner. It is a light peach-coral shade that almost looks like a very muted version of Vegas Volt, a bright vivid coral lipstick.
MAC Pigment in Partylicious
Swatched wet (on left) and dry (on right).
First off, I’m a sucker for anything teal. I love this color, especially for the eyes. And this pigment from the Alice + Olivia collection is a gorgeous iridescent teal that is even bolder and more pigmented once applied wet (as with most pigments).
I only got a few things, since I’ve been lacking in the makeup fund lately lol. But I’ll be going back for more next week. I still need the other three Mineralize Skinfinishes and the Later pigment from Alice + Olivia. It’s such a gorgeous color, definitely a must-have.
Were any of you lucky enough to pick up Stereo Rose? Was it worth the hype?
