Who doesn’t love a good red lip for Valentine’s Day? If you never brave the bold color, now is the perfect time to try! There are dozens of tutorials out there on how to get the perfect red lip, but this little lip concoction of products has always worked well for me. So let’s get started!

My lips tend to be incredibly dry in the winter. But regardless if your lips or chapped or not, prepping your lips with a moisturizing balm like the new Vaseline Lip Therapy tin is key. I love the way the Rosey Lips Lip Balm smells, by the way. It’s heavenly!

Next is to line your lips, but I’m not talking overdrawn Kylie Jenner lips here. Line along your natural lip line. I always start on the bottom lip curving up up, then the top beginning with the cupids bow. Tip: Make a small x on your cupids bow to create the perfect dip! I’ve used Revlon ColorStay Lip Liner in Red for years!

Finding the perfect red lipstick can be difficult. I prefer ones that are moisturizing and creamy as I find the color lasts much longer on my lips. Lancôme ‘L’Absolu Rouge in Absolute Rouge is literally the most perfect red. This lipstick is so incredibly moisturizing and lasts for hours!

If you prefer more of a matte lip, you can skip this step. But I like a little extra shine and something to “seal” in the color. Stila Stay All DayLiquid Lipstick in Fiery is an amazing deep red to top off your lipstick. I also find it helps to make the color last much longer. I usually blot once to lock everything in and prevent my lips from being too glossy.

And there you have it! The perfect red lip. Be sure to check out Vaseline’s new Lip Therapy tins. Love the vintage look of them! My favorite is Rosey Lips but they have several other options like Cocoa Butter and Aloe. I already have one in my purse, on my nightstand and in my desk at work!

Hope everyone has a Happy Valentine’s Day weekend!
