Boohoo Eyelet Lace-Up Bodysuit  •  Mossimo High-Rise Crop Flare Jeans (also love these)  •  Steve Madden Pointed Booties – old (similar styles here, here + here)  •  Tibi Faux Leather Choker  •  Classic Box Bag (craving this beauty, BAD)  •  Flat Top Sunglasses  •  Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow N Arrow (my go-to shade!)

Bodysuit? Check. Cropped flares? Check. Choker? Check. Yup, I think I just about covered every major trend this fall! Not bad for getting everything in one outfit, huh? Ok, so here’s the deal with bodysuits. It took me a long time to get on board. I’m 4′ 11″ with a very short torso, which doesn’t sound like I’d be the ideal candidate for a bodysuit. But this surprisingly works. Want to know how to style a bodysuit for petites? The secret is high-rise denim!

High-rise denim gives off the appearance of a longer torso, which in my case, I need all the torso lengthening I can get. These cropped flares are high-waisted so they cinch at the waist instead of the hips like most low-rise styles making it perfect to wear with skin-tight bodysuits. And this lace-up style is not only affordable, but flatters surprisingly well. I don’t even have to wear a bra with it! Although, I did wear these underneath for extra coverage (a total lifesaver, by the  way). I purchased this bodysuit on a whim and am so glad I did. For those of you who don’t regularly shop at Boohoo, you’re missing the party. Their selection of clothing is crazy affordable for even the lowest of budgets and they constantly run sales for 40-50% off. I actually bought this bodysuit during one of their flash sales for a whopping $13!! What?!

So remember, high-waisted bottoms – jeans, skirts, pants, etc. – are the secret to this flattering, curve-hugging style. Especially for my fellow petite ladies!
