{Interiors} Decorating Small Spaces feat. Lauren McGrath’s Manhattan Apartment

January 16, 2014
I live in a 619 sq. ft. apartment so I am always looking for new ways to decorate and utilize more space for storage. I found this creative space on Domino and was awed by the form and function of every piece of furniture. This feature takes a 250 sq. ft. apartment in Upper East Side Manhattan, owned by designer and blogger Lauren McGrath, and turns it into a well designed and stylish living space.

Dress up an inexpensive table using a table skirt to make an appealing entrance. Use a dresser for double duty storage and buffet space.

White paid opens up a small space and makes it seem much larger. Lauren used Benjamin Moore’s Acadia White.

Using a tray to corral small pieces prevent spaces from looking cluttered.
Use a large desk that doubles as a dining table when you have guests. It can easily be pulled out from the wall to create a makeshift dining room.
