How was everyone’s weekend? If you watched my Instastories, you may have seen that I was in Chicago last week and attended my first Lollapalooza! Well, sort of. I ended up buying a ticket last minute and was there for about an hour and a half before the storm struck. Literally a torrential downpour! We found ourselves being directed to the nearest emergency exit when we thought we were headed to see Lorde. Thankfully I wasn’t wearing this linen off the shoulder dress. White would have been a terrible choice. We were soaked!! Seeing Porter Robinson live and dancing in the rain was totally worth it though. I’ll be singing “Sad Machine” for weeks ahead reliving that moment.
While not festival appropriate, this is definitely my favorite dress for summer. I actually wore it out for our insanely delicious dinner at RPM Italian. So, so good, by the way. LOFT has actually been surprising me more and more lately with some really chic pieces. When I first spotted this linen off the shoulder dress online I didn’t know how good the quality would be but it’s surprisingly well made! Reminded me of something you’d find at Reformation, at a fourth of the cost. I’m currently eyeing this and this before summer comes to an end but would still easily transition into fall. Add a leather jacket and booties and you’re all set!
