South Beach, Miami Packing Guide

It is fa-reezing in Dallas right now. Ok, ok so it might not be as bad as other cold-weather cities. But it’s 35 degrees today and I am not a fan. I don’t do well in the cold. It’s just not my cup of tea. So I’m getting the hell out of town and heading to Miami this Saturday! The beach, palm trees and 80 degree-weather is calling my name and Saturday cannot come soon enough. This is a little Miami Packing Guide I threw together with everything I plan on taking on my trip while enjoying coconuts on the beach. Bodysuits, denim cut-offs and swimsuits is what I’ll be living in this weekend.

Shopping for warm-weather vacations is always difficult this time of year so I thought this Miami packing guide might be helpful for anyone else traveling to tropical locations this winter. I love versatile pieces that I can wear on vacation and throughout the year. Like this jumpsuit under $50! Perfect for a night out in Miami, or even for the holidays. I’m also swooning over this burnt orange numberΒ and I’m trying something a little different and wearing a bodysuit on the beach instead of a bathing suit. I fell in love with this blush, lace-up style so I’m making it work. But I also love this vintage-style two piece!

I’ve been planning like a mad woman because there are so many great things to see while in Miami. I’ve been making a list of my top places to see, shop and eat… all for the perfect photos, of course. A few places on my list include The Raleigh Hotel (for the pool, obviously), Broken Shaker, Design District, Little Havana and the infamous pink and white umbrellas on the beach at the SLS South Beach Hotel. So much to see!!! Can you tell I’m beyond excited? Miami has been on my list for a very long time so I am ecstatic to finally get to visit. We’ll be staying at the Nautilus Hotel which looks incredible. Is it Saturday yet?!

Thank you to everyone who has treated us like family from the beginning. Y’all (yeah, I finally said it πŸ˜‚) have quite literally opened up your hearts, homes and families to us and made us feel so welcome. Texas was far too kind to us and we will miss this place tremendously and everyone who made our experience unforgettable. β™₯️
