With it being so cold lately, I swear I feel like I’m living in nothing but jeans and coats. I hate being cold (boo hoo, I know…) so I’m not one to walk out in 30 degree weather in dresses and skirts. Call me lazy, but it’s just been so easy to throw on a pair of jeans and a coat over whatever top or sweater I’m wearing. So to make these a little less boring, I like pairing different patterns, textures and colors to add interest to the same ol’, same ol’ in cold weather. This Sheinside black and white tweed coat is perfect because I can wear it with so many things since it’s practically a neutral being black and white. Plaid, polka dots, stripes… you name it, this coat goes with it.
Sometimes just a play on color can also make a difference on making a boring outfit more fun. While I love nothing more than wearing all black, sometimes I like to add some color to spice things up a bit. Beanies/hats, shoes and handbags are an easy way to add a little color to your outfit. These Steve Madden booties are a favorite because they add a little extra something with the burgundy color. And while black would match just fine, I like the unexpected pop of color. It’s a simple change that makes all the difference.
I’ve had a few questions lately on how to dress “cute” in the winter and make the most of your winter wear, so I hope this helps!
How do you make your winter wear a little less mundane?
