Truth be told, on my lazy days you can usually find me in band tees and cut-off shorts or distressed jeans. I love dressing up, but in my down timeI really just enjoy being casual and hanging out with Charlie Boy. I’m sure you’ve heard me gush about my sweet Charlie Boy on the blog. Or if you follow me on Snapchat (prettypetals87) then you really get to see the love I have for this dog. Nothing beats coming home to his adorable, excited face. He looks bigger and possibly aggressive in photos, but let me tell you, he is nothing but cuddles and kisses. I call him my cuddlebug because he loves to just curl up right by me.
Steven and I adopted Charlie from a local animal shelter when we still lived in California. Best decision we ever made. Charlie was technically a gift – Steven had promised me we would get a dog for Christmas/Hanukkah one year and it took us several months to finally find the right one. I joke with Steven that Charlie was the greatest gift and we really had no reason to ever exchange gifts again. He truly is the best thing that ever happened to us and I’m so grateful we have this sweet boy in our lives.
About two months ago, I received an email with the subject “For Charlie Boy”. I had never clicked to open an email so quickly. Pooch Pets, a company founded by two dog-loving sisters originally from Dallas, had found me on Instagram and offered to send me a new collar for Charlie. I was ecstatic. I get a lot of outreach emails, but if there’s one way to get me on board immediately, it’s involving Charlie. I excitedly responded that I’d be thrilled to feature Charlie wearing a Pooch Pets collar. And boy does he look handsome wearing it. Ha! Am I a crazy dog mom, or what?
The Pooch Pets dog collars are very well made, quality leather and are durable. Charlie may not be the biggest dog (he’s only 35 pounds!) but he definitely needs a collar that holds up well. I picked out the “Shanghai” collar for him knowing the red would stand out on his dark fur.
I’ve made repeated visits to Petsmart, Target and other pet shops, but never found a collar I really loved for him. Pooch Pets solved that problem and I love the classic styles they have for dogs! If you’re a crazy dog mom like me, I would definitely check them out for their selection of collars and leather leashes.
