Get Your Face Summer Ready with Revision Skincare

June 9, 2016

About a month ago, I was invited to attend a skincare event at the Dallas Center for Dermatology and Aesthetics and they were kind of enough to gift us four of Revision Skincare’s top products. We learned everything about proper skincare and how the products you use can really make a huge difference for you skin.

Sun protection is obviously a huge factor in keeping your skin healthy. But anti-aging, moisturizing and hydrating properties are also key to effective skincare. Revision Skincare uses advanced formulas that are rich with peptides, antioxidants and the purest botanical extracts for radiant skin. The products are actually formulated in Dallas, Texas and are never tested on animals!

For the last month or so, I’ve been using these Revision Skincare products and can confidently say they now have a permanent spot on my bathroom counter.

While I usually stick to eye makeup removing wipes and micellar water to remove my makeup, I find sometimes my skin doesn’t feel as clean as it can be. That’s where this product comes in. Once I’ve removed all my makeup, I use the Papaya Enzyme Cleanser to really get all the missed dirt and grime in my pores that the micellar water may not have removed. I find my skin feels much cleaner and appears brighter once I wash my face with this cleanser. It’s not an every day product for me, but I use it a few times a week to really deep clean my skin.

This is a really cool product. I was actually skeptical of the Intellishade while the skin care representatives talked about the product at the event. It’s a universal shade that works on every skin tone. And while the product may leave a white or grey cast on those with darker complexions, for lighter skin tones it color matches almost perfectly. I love the idea of a foundation that will work for me year round.

The Intellishade is a tinted moisturizer formulated with a blend of three peptides and broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection. I prefer to apply this product with a flat-top kabuki brush, but you can easily apply with your hands making it a low-maintenance product to use daily. The tinted moisturizer provides a sheer wash of color so it evens out skin tone allowing your actual skin to shine through, while still providing a minimal coverage for any blemishes or dark spots

I love how easy the product is to blend, especially when I’m in a hurry to get ready in the morning. I apply a concealer under my eyes and anywhere extra coverage is needed on top of the tinted moisturizer, then follow everything with a tinted pressed powder to eliminate any shine and keep oily skin at bay.

Last, but certainly not least, is my favorite Revision Skincare product, the Hydrating Serum. This serum has done wonders for my skin and is perfect for day or night. I use this on a clean face after applying an essence, and then follow with a nighttime moisturizer. I find using this serum before a moisturizer really helps the skin absorb all the product’s nutrients to really benefit my skin.

The Hydrating Serum is oil free, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, provides long and short term moisture, keeps skin uniformly hydrated (no dry spots!), and alleviates tightness all without leaving the skin feeling sticky. This serum is potent, but because it is water based it is extremely light-weight making it one of the best moisturizing products to use in the summer.

Have you used Revision Skincare products before? Let me know! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
