I’ve been bored with my every day foundation, MAC Studio Fix Fluid, and I have been wanting something that has more of a glow to it and isn’t as matte. I recently got a sample of the Makeup Forever HD Foundation from Sephora and I love it, but I am definitely not willing to fork over $40 for a foundation. So when I found this Revlon foundation at Ulta, I thought I would give it a try.
I usually am anti-drugstore foundations but this stuff has been getting awesome reviews on Makeup Alley so I figured for $13 a bottle, why not give it a go. And I am so glad I did. This is my new favorite foundation! It gives my skin a dewey finish and just makes it glow. This is perfect for my dry skin because I don’t have to apply tons of moisturizer before my foundation like I do with most matte foundations since they tend to be super drying on my face.
Here is what the foundation claims:
“Looking for that dewy glow? This lightweight, non-greasy foundation by Revlon goes on smooth to hide your imperfections. It has light coverage, but is builable for a more full coverage.”
- Gives skin a dewey glow (light reflecting particles)
- Works great for dry-normal skintones (oilier skin tones should use a powder over it)
- Very affordable, easy to find
- Has SPF 20
- Comes with a foundation pump (not sold separetly like MAC foundations)
- Not a large selections of shades, may have to buy two shades and mix together
- Very sheer, more layers have to be applied for full coverage
Overall: This is a great everyday foundation and is an awesome alternative to the pricier foundations such as the Makeup Forever HD Foundation. It really makes your face glow and gives a dewey finish which makes the foundation look much more natural on the face. I highly recommend this product, especially at a price point of only $13. Give it a try!
