Well hello! It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I’ve been taking a blogging hiatus (for like the 100 millionth time) to focus on life and such. But I had to share some recent spring beauty favorites. So let’s jump into it!
I have been dying to get my hands on this product – it’s always sold out! After reading dozens of reviews of customers claiming it to be a dupe for the much pricier Sunday Riley Good Genes AND at a $7 price tag, I was sold. And yes, as in seven freakin dollars. Love this skincare line! So does it work? Sure does! The Ordinary Lactic Acid has 10% potency with 2% HA making it an excellent solution for uneven skin tone, fine lines, wrinkles, dullness and uneven texture. I’ve been using it every couple of days at night and my skin looks much firmer and glow-ier (that’s a word, right?). Needless to say I’m hooked. Word to the wise, act fast. This stuff is always sold out. I waited months for it to come back in stock!
P.S. You can read more about my favorite The Ordinary products here.
My hormones have been really out of whack lately (no, I’m not pregnant – just a change in birth control). So I’ve been experiencing the strangest breakouts. These acne patches have been a lifesaver. I pop one on overnight, allow all the pimple grossness to raise to the surface then remove the patch when I wake up. And poof! The pimple is reduced in size, a lot less tender and disappears within a couple of days. I’ve been purchasing these in bulk so I always have them on hand!
Hello new favorite concealer! I am LOVING the formula on this. If RMS Un-Cover Up and NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer had a baby… in a stick form, this would be it. So incredibly creamy, easy to apply and crease-proof! What more could you ask for in a concealer? It lasts all day and is a medium coverage which is perfect for every day wear. I wear shade Light Neutral-04 and have been setting it with Glossier Wowder.
I’m always a sucker for a good cream blush and bronzer so I knew this would be a product I’d enjoy. But I didn’t expect to love it and wear it as much as I have been lately. I have truly been using these every single day. They are so easy to apply and blend perfectly (and quickly!) for every day makeup. My favorite shades are Nightingale (great for light contouring) topped with Wine for a muted berry cheek. Check out my beauty highlights on Instastories to see me wearing both!
I love, love LOVE this little palette. It’s the perfect size to travel with and the colors are right up my alley in terms of my favorite everyday shades to use. I love the warm hues that work for both night and day. It’s just the perfect little eyeshadow palette. I’ve been using it daily!
bareMinerals recently sent me their entire Gen Nude Liquid Lipstick collection and I instantly fell in love with every shade. I’ve mostly been wearing the shades Bae (mid-tone nude) and Everything (muted mauve), mixing the two together. The formula is great and surprisingly long lasting!
Self tanner? Check. Organic ingredients? Check. Firming? Check! This product packs a lot of promises. And while I can’t attest to the firming promises… yet. I can tell you that this has quickly become my favorite tanning product. I love how easy it is to apply – it’s just like applying moisturizer! No tanning mitts or mouses having to dry. It goes on as a normal moisturizer and later turns into the most beautiful tan. It’s not as brown as I normally like, but it isn’t orange either. It’s just the right tan to get you to a shade or two darker than your normal color. Which I love! Nothing worse then going from pale to extremely dark in a matter of hours… you’re not fooling anybody haha!
I love a good sea salt spray, but this one reigns supreme. It not only smells incredible (think heavenly vanilla) but it gives me the best beach waves without any residue or stickiness in my hair. Which is un-HEARD of!! Every sea salt spray I have ever used leaves some sort of residue on my hair. But this one works without the strange texture or weighing down my hair. I’ll 100% be restocking on this soon and will probably go through another bottle by the end of summer. I’ve been using it almost every day!
Deodorant? Yup. We’re going there. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect natural deodorant for a while now only to be disappointed or paying way too much for a just ok product. I’ve gone through about 6 tubes of Agent Nateur’s Holi(stic) No. 3 Deodorant and it’s still a favorite of mine. But if you do the math… at $21 a pop, that’s a TON of money to spend on deodorant. Not to mention that I was going through a stick a month. That’s insane. So when I discovered Native I was intrigued. Then after reading dozens and dozens of nothing but positive reviews, I had to try it out. And I’m happy to say that not only have I found a new natural deodorant at half the price, but I also found a dupe for Agent Nateur! The Native Lavender & Roses scent smells almost identical to Agent Nateur, which is mostly why I loved it so much. So, problem solved.
