Last night Steven and I joined his sister and brother-in-law at The Foundry in Dallas for the second time and Oh. My. God. The food is amazing. Best fried chicken I have ever had. EVER.
The Foundry was appointed the “hippest patios in Dallas” according to D Magazine and it really does have an eclectic and charming feel to it. The Foundry is actually the bar and Chicken Scratch is the restaurant. It is a pretty large space with an indoor/outdoor bar area, outdoor patio (complete with a pallet stage) and the actual restaurant. We jokingly named this joint “Industrial Chicken” because of the industrial garage feel meets southern farm.
I highly recommend checking it out if you are in the Dallas area. My advice… try the Chicken and Coconut Waffles- chili maple syrup is all I have to say. You won’t regret it.
