One of my goals for the blog this year was to get more personal with all of you and just be real. I mean you’re here reading what i write, why not allow you guys to get to know me a little better, right? Weekend chat will be a new weekend series to the blog that gives you a peek into what I’m currently loving in sales, what I’m up to and what I’m doing for the weekend. Feel free to comment and share what you’re currently loving and your weekend plans. I love to know what people are up to!

So what am I getting into this weekend? Well, after years of longing after a linen, tufted bed I finally took the plunge and bought Steven and I a new bed! We’ve been using an old bed from his parents house and needless to say, I’ve never been a fan. Think bachelor pad on the cheap. And no, it wasn’t ACE Hotel cool. I found this gorgeous grey, linen headboard and bed frame at an amazing price! I couldn’t pass it up. So we spent Saturday putting the bed together. To say I’m excited is a serious understatement. You can see a peek of it on Instagram or Snapchat (prettypetals87).

Also dying to try out Pink Magnolia for dinner, a cute Southern restaurant in the Bishop Arts District in Dallas. The brown sugar roasted acorn squash has my name all over it. I also can’t neglect my Sunday ritual of making a stop at Joy for some of my favorite almond macarons!

Weekend Shopping.001

NORDSTROM | This chic, shorter style coat is insanely affordable making it too good to pass up. Especially in this gorgeous olive green color! I’ve also been wearing sweater dresses quite a bit when traveling back to LA for their ease and comfort. This cream one is a score for under $50. And how perfect if paired with these tassel lace-up flats? And don’t even get me started on these green beauties. I’m head over heels for the unusual color. They would pair so well with jeans and a black and white striped nautical shirt. Classic with a pop!

SHOPBOP | Craving this Current/Eliott twist shirtdress to wear with these open-toe booties. I’m also all about gold rings lately and am obsessed with this House of Harlow ring set. AndI think I may live in this sweater for the rest of winter. Can’t think of any reason why I wouldn’t wear it every day.

OLD NAVY | Stop whatever you’re doing and buy this fringe tee right now. Just trust me. You’ll thank me come spring/summer. I also live in chunky, open knit cardigans, mostly in grey and black. So I definitely plan on adding this gorgeous red version to my closet. And these mules!! So high end – check Pinterest if you don’t believe me. I’ll be buying them in both colors and I’m going to suggest you do the same. To wear with this romper, of course. Oh, today only get 30% off your entire purchase. So go!

GAP | Just bought this classic trench that will come in handy when it rains in the spring. Stripes are usually my pattern of choice and I love the fun bell sleeve on this nautical stripe sweater. This drop waist dress will easily be a go-to for me in the summer. Wait, none of these new items are on sale? Don’t worry. Use code BLUEMON for 40% off your entire purchase!

Happy Weekend!
